Shingles
Post Herpes Neuralgia (The name Herpes originates from Greek and means "to crawl") Shingles (herpes zoster) is an awful condition both because of acute pain and the chance to go over into a chronic disease. For 28 years Anne Harila have treated shingles in acute and chronic phases on different areas of a body. Shingles can come out in a diaphragm, back, or both back and a diaphragm, shoulder, arm, hand, fingers, breast/chest, seat, legs, ear and eye. If it affects a trigeminus nerve, it makes impossible to close an eye, or can cause problems with motoric control, sore throat and mouth, or a feeling of inflammation of the pulp (pulpitis). Shingles is not an old people's disease, children and teenagers can have it, too; and it is a plague and a problem with intense pain and fever. Pain may start in a completely different area from where you have a rash. All people who have had varicella can get shingles, and it is 90% of the population. Varicella is caused by a virus called Herpes Zoster. When blister go over, the virus encapsulates in a neural node: a kind of neural central, which manages several neural threads. The whole body is full of such nodes, and the virus can land at any place, for example in a face, where it can affect a neural passage of half part of the face. The same can be applied to other bodily parts. First pain, then - rash and blisters full of virus, which dry and turn to crusts - something that causes a burning itch, which is indescribably painful. Shingles can cause complications, since nerves can be damaged by the virus and lead to terrible neural pain. It means that the disease has turned to a chronic phase called Post Herpes Zoster. The symptoms can be felt as electric shock and terrible spasms. There are cases, when the virus does not come out to the surface in a form of blisters, but anyway can be detected in blood tests. It can be treated with laser as well. Laser treatment can make your body and the immune system able to rehabilitate by itself. |
